The essential steps to a successful installation
Peel & Stick Wallpaper Installation
To ensure proper adhesion and the best possible finish, your wall must meet the following requirements:
• Smooth, clean, dry, and dust free surface
• If the wall has been recently painted, wait at least 14 days before installation
• Do not apply on a primed only surface
Peel and stick wallpaper works best on smooth or lightly textured walls:
• Light texture (such as fine orange peel) may be suitable
• Heavy textures (stucco, knockdown, popcorn) are not recommended
• Not recommended for popcorn ceilings
Before installation:
• Remove hooks, wall plates, and any obstacles
• Fill holes or cracks and sand if needed
• The surface must be even and non porous
Important
Before installation, allow your wallpaper to acclimate at room temperature for 24 hours.
Please follow the installation guide included with your order carefully.

Our panels have a fixed width of 24.5 inches and are always installed from left to right.
Start at the left corner of the wall.
From the left corner, use a level or laser level to draw a perfectly straight vertical line
from the ceiling to the bottom of the wall.
This line will serve as the guide for your first panel.
It is essential that it is perfectly straight, as all following panels will align from it.
The panels are designed to slightly overlap (1/2 inch) to make alignment easier and
prevent gaps from appearing over time.
Tip
Take your time drawing this line.
Starting with a perfectly straight guide makes all the difference for the rest of the installation.

-
Unroll one panel on a clean surface, pattern side down. Peel back the first 6 inches of the backing paper at the top of the panel and fold it behind.
-
Starting from the left corner, align the top of the panel with the ceiling.
Let it extend slightly past the top if the ceiling is not perfectly level.
-
Make sure the right edge of the panel is perfectly aligned with the guideline
drawn in the previous step.
-
Using the squeegee, secure the top of the panel by smoothing from the center
outward with horizontal strokes to prevent air bubbles.
-
Peel back an additional 12 inches of the backing paper and continue smoothing
using the same technique.
-
Repeat until the entire panel is installed.
-
Lightly pencil a vertical line 1/2 inch from the edge of the installed panel.
This line will serve as a guide for the next panel.
-
Unroll the next panel, peel back the first 6 inches of the backing paper, and align
it with the guideline, matching the pattern.
-
Repeat the same steps for the remaining panels.
The wallpaper is repositionable, so take your time to adjust as needed.

If small air bubbles appear, gently use the squeegee to smooth them outward.
Pay close attention to corners and edges, where excess wallpaper needs to be
properly secured, such as along the ceiling, the floor, or adjacent walls.
To finish the installation, carefully trim any excess at the top and bottom using
a utility knife with a new blade.
Maintenance
To maintain the beauty of your wallpaper, clean it as needed with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners to preserve the color and finish.
If installation guidelines are not followed, Artza & Co. cannot be held responsible
for any installation-related issues.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Our wallpaper is very forgiving during installation.
You can:
Carefully peel it off and reposition it as many times as necessary.
Realign the pattern edge to edge without damaging the panel
Adjust the angle if you notice it starting to lean slightly
Tip: Be gentle when peeling off a panel; avoid stretching it too much and try not to press it too hard against the wall until it's properly aligned. Once the panel has been smoothed down completely and left in place for a while, the adhesive will begin to bond more firmly. So if you need to make any adjustments, do so early in the process.
You don't need many tools, but the right accessories can really make installation easier (and much more satisfying!).
Here's what we recommend:
Laser level: the perfect tool for aligning your first sign perfectly straight
Squeegee: we include one in every order, so you're all set.
Measuring tape: to check the dimensions of your wall and confirm your layout
Utility knife or sharp blade: for neatly trimming the excess at the top and bottom
Stepladder or ladder: especially for higher walls
Painter's tape (optional): useful for holding the top of the panel in place while you begin gluing
And don't forget: every order also comes with a printed installation guide. It will guide you through each step and contains all our best tips — keep it handy during installation!
Yes, always! Before installing self-adhesive wallpaper, it's essential to remove any existing wallpaper from the wall.
Here's why:
Applying glue over the top can cause bubbles, irregularities, and poor adhesion.
The old paper could peel off under the new one over time.
You will achieve a much smoother and more professional result on a well-prepared wall.
Before installing your panels, make sure the wall is:
Completely free of old wallpaper, glue residue and paint flakes
Smooth, clean and dry
Repaint as needed, with a drying time of at least 2 weeks.
Taking the time to properly prepare your surface makes all the difference for a lasting and flawless result!
Wallpaper panels should be hung vertically, from top to bottom.
Keep in mind:
Always start at the top of the wall and work your way down gradually.
The patterns have a direction — check that your panel is facing the right way before applying it.
Use a level or laser to ensure the first panel is perfectly straight — this guarantees the alignment of all subsequent panels.
Place one panel at a time, taking care to align the pattern with the next one.
Our panels have a 0.5" overlap, so align them accordingly.
For the ceiling: The rule is a little different — it is recommended to start near the main light source or a window, and progress away from the light.
Yes, absolutely! Adding wallpaper to the ceiling is an original and warm way to transform a room, especially in a bedroom, reading room, or small, cozy room like a baby's room.
Before we begin, here are our tips:
Make sure the ceiling is clean, smooth and completely dry
Use a laser level or draw a straight line to properly align your first panel
Start near a window and move in the opposite direction from the light.
If your ceiling is textured or uneven, test first with a sample to check adhesion.
Work in pairs if possible; it's doable alone, but so much simpler (and more enjoyable!) with two people.
And just like with walls, our wallpaper is self-adhesive, repositionable and removable so no stress if you need to adjust along the way.
It's possible, but good preparation is essential for the wallpaper to adhere properly and stay in place.
Here's how to give it every chance of staying in place properly:
1. Clean the wall
Wipe the entire surface with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner to remove dust, grease, or residue. Allow to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.
2. Smooth the surface (if possible)
If the texture is light (like "orange peel"), it can work as is.
If the texture is more pronounced (knockdown, stucco or popcorn ceiling type), the wallpaper might not adhere well or will show all the irregularities.
Your options:
Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper
Apply a thin layer of joint compound to even it out.
Use a basic wall covering (self-adhesive or stick-on wall liner)
3. Apply a primer if necessary
If your wall has just been painted, wait 2 to 3 weeks before installation.
Some people prefer to use satin paint or a special wallpaper primer to improve adhesion (optional but practical).
4. Use the EZ Hang vaporizer (optional but amazing)
This product is great for giving textured walls a little more grip and making installation easier.
How to use it:
Clean your wall
Spray a thin, even coat of EZ Hang
Let it dry for 10 minutes
Install the wallpaper as usual
It is also a suitable option for tenants, easy to clean and leaves no residue.
5. Test it first!
Always order a sample and leave it in place for a few days. If it starts to peel or reveals all the texture, you may need to smooth it out further before installing the panels.
❗️Important: We do not guarantee adhesion on textured walls and do not accept returns if the wallpaper peels off due to this type of surface.
When wallpapering multiple walls, careful planning is essential for a clean, seamless result with no visible breaks and perfect pattern continuity. Unlike an accent wall, a room-wide project requires careful attention to panel flow, pattern alignment, and corner management.
Here's what you need to know:
1. Consider the room as a single continuous surface
When wallpapering multiple walls, think of the room as one continuous space.
Instead of starting from scratch with each new wall, the panels should extend naturally from one wall to the next, passing through the corners, maintaining the alignment of the pattern.
At each inside corner, the remaining part of the last panel should continue onto the next wall, and the installation should continue with a new full panel right after.
2. Choose a discreet starting point
It is recommended to start the installation in a less visible location, such as:
Behind a door
Near a secluded spot
On a wall that will be partially hidden by furniture
This helps to conceal any small end strips or visible seams.
A good starting point also makes it easier to manage the flow of the pattern throughout the piece.
3. Calculate the total width to be covered
To find out how many panels to order, add up the width of all the walls you want to wallpaper next, divide the total by the width of one panel (e.g., 24.5 inches) and round up to the next whole number.
This method ensures that you have enough panels to cover the entire room without any break in the pattern.
We also recommend allowing a little extra for cuts and any imperfections in the walls.
4. Expect a loss at the corners
It is normal to lose about 1 to 2 cm (0.5 to 1 inch) in each inside corner due to adjustments needed to achieve perfect alignment.
That is why we advise you to order at least one additional panel compared to your basic calculation.
This gives you some leeway in case of unforeseen events during installation.
5. Pay particular attention to the alignment of the pattern at the corners
When wallpapering around a corner, the pattern alignment should be as precise as possible. Minor adjustments may be necessary, but it is best to make them in inconspicuous areas rather than in the center of a main wall.
A well-aligned corner gives a clean, neat, and high-end finish.
Quick summary
Treat the room as one large surface to be wallpapered.
Continue the panels around the corners without starting over at each wall.
Choose a discreet starting point.
Calculate your quantity based on the total width of the room.
Order additional panels to allow for adjustments.
Prioritize aligning the pattern in the corners for a flawless result.
Yes. Our wallpapers are designed to be removed cleanly when applied to a properly prepared surface. They peel off without leaving any residue and without damaging the wall.
Here's how to do it:
Start at the top of the panel and gently peel it downwards.
Go slowly and steadily — no need to pull hard
If an area is a little resistant, use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to soften the adhesive.
Continue to peel it off gently until the panel is completely removed.
If the wall has been properly prepared (clean, painted and dry), no residue will remain and no damage will be caused.
Yes. If your wall has been recently painted, we recommend waiting at least 14 days before installation. The paint must be completely dry and hardened to ensure proper adhesion. Wallpaper should not be applied to a freshly painted wall or a surface that has only been primed.
Yes, wallpaper can be installed in a bathroom or kitchen provided the space is well ventilated. Avoid areas directly exposed to water or high, constant humidity, such as the inside of a shower or behind a sink without a backsplash.
Air bubbles are easy to remove. Use the included squeegee to gently smooth from the center outwards. If necessary, slightly peel back the panel and reposition it. The wallpaper is designed to be repositionable during installation.
No problem. Gently peel off the panel and realign it. The panels overlap slightly to make aligning the pattern easier and avoid visible gaps. Take your time with the first few panels; they set the pace for the rest.
Yes. Our wallpaper is removable and can be taken down without damaging the walls when installed on a suitable surface. It is therefore perfectly suited for rental properties.
Yes, if the surface is smooth, clean, dry, and non-porous. Many customers use it on cabinets, drawers, or decorative panels. We always recommend testing on a small area before a full installation.
The panels are designed to overlap by approximately ½ inch to ensure precise pattern alignment and prevent gaps from becoming visible over time. This overlap contributes to a cleaner, more durable finish.
We do not recommend this. Each panel is printed to align vertically based on its full height. Once cut, the pattern will no longer line up properly from one panel to the next, which can result in visible mismatches after installation.
For the best result, panels should be ordered at the exact height needed for the space.
