Soft blue, gentle pattern and natural texture come together in a bedroom that feels collected, relaxed and quietly coastal.
For this edition of The Lookbook Letter, we built the room around the floral Quinley wallpaper in Azurite, layering soft blues, warm whites, small-scale prints and woven textures to create a space that feels fresh without leaning too nautical.

Floral Wallpaper - Quinley in Azurite
Quinley, designed by Thoroughfare Design, sets the tone for the entire room. Its soft blue floral brings pattern to the walls while the warm background keeps the room feeling light and easy.
Rather than treating the wallpaper as the only pattern in the space, we used it as the starting point for the rest of the room, pulling its soft blues and warm neutrals into the paint, textiles and finishing touches.
The Palette
Benjamin Moore Polaris Blue 1649
We love it on trim and doors to frame the wallpaper and bring a little more depth to the room, while still keeping the whole palette soft and cohesive.
Pattern Play
The trick here isn't choosing just one pattern. It's letting a few different ones live together.
We paired Quinley's floral with classic stripes and smaller block prints, keeping everything within the same soft blue and neutral palette. The difference in scale keeps the patterns from competing with one another.
A larger floral, a narrow stripe and a tiny repeating print can actually feel calmer together than several patterns of the same size.
Add Some Texture
This is what keeps the blue palette and layered pattern from feeling too sweet.
Natural woven materials, linen, warm wood, floral wallpaper and softly textured bedding give the room a little more depth. A woven pendant or basket is an easy way to bring in that natural element without introducing another color.
The goal isn't for every piece to match. It's for everything to feel like it could have been collected over time.
Bring the Look Home
Here are a few of our favorite pieces to bring the Hamptons Edit home. Tap any piece to shop.
Table Lamp · Magnolia
A soft blue stripe beside Quinley adds another layer of pattern without competing with the floral.
Flush Mount · Serena & Lily
Woven shell details bring natural texture overhead and add warmth to the soft blue palette.
Soft blues, layered patterns and natural textures come together to create a bedroom that feels relaxed, collected and quietly coastal. A reminder that a room doesn’t need to match perfectly to feel beautifully pulled together.
We hope this first edition of The Lookbook Letter leaves you with a little inspiration for your own space. Until the next edit. ♡
